Weston FC Wins Wellington Shootout Tournament

The Weston FC U12 Boys team defeated the Wellington Wave, host of the tournament, at a vibrant championship game by the score of 3-2. Twice, the team came back from behind and finally scored the winning goal with less than 5 minutes to play. The tournament took place during the weekend of January 4th and 5th, 2009.

League End of Season Tournament

The U12 Boys team played another strong tournament in which they reach the championship game unbeaten, only to fall in an intense match 2-1 against T.C. United. To reach the finals, they beat T.C. United 5-1, Delray Beach 3-1 and Palm Beach United 3-0. The tournament was held at Seacrest Soccer complex in Delray Beach from April 18th to the 19th.

Coach
Carlos Casadevall has been involved in coaching youth Sports in Weston since 2002. Involved with the Weston FC since its inception in 2006, presently he coaches the U12 Boys team. Carlos is Safe Heaven certified, and possess the AYSO Intermediate level coaching certification. Carlos has also been a Little League baseball coach since 2004 and played this sport at the high school and college level. Carlos is married with two kids, ages 12 and 8 and has been living in Weston since 1998. Carlos is an Electrical Engineer with a Masters degree in Management.
